Black Forest

"Heimatfilm" - here we go!

Dreamy, playful and hopelessly romantic
With an area of approx. 11.000 km² the Black Forest is one of the largest holiday regions in Germany.Traditions are lovingly maintained. Numerous localities have maintained their historic character and give insights in ancient customs. The multitude of Black Forest houses are a typical sight, some of which even house a Youth Hostel. Apart from the natural wonders, art monuments such as the Freiburger Münster (chathedral) and the minster in St. Blasien, with Europe’s third largest dome, never seize to amaze. Europe‘s former “summer capital” Baden-Baden exudes a hint of Belle Èpoque and high nobility. The “Vogtsbauernhof”, an open-air museum, includes Black Forest houses spanning several centuries.
